Vijay Devarakonda recently sat down for a conversation with Curly Tales, wherein the show’s host, Kamya Punjabi, asked him if he is single. To their surprise, Vijay shared that he is 35 years old and not single. He is very much in a relationship. Kamya then asked him if he was in a ‘rush’ to get married. For the unversed, ‘rush’ is referred to Vijay’s rumoured girlfriend, Rashmika Mandanna.
Vijay added that just like everyone else, he too plans to get married and settle down in the near future. He added that unless someone has decided not to get married, it is not something one can skip as it’s a part of life’s cycle. However, he surely will get married. This is the first time Vijay has openly talked about his relationship status and marriage plans. In Vijay’s words:
“We all have to (get married) at some point. Unless you have made a choice of not wanting to be married. That’s a cycle of life.”
Vijay Deverakonda says he doesn’t believe in ‘unconditional love’, shares thoughts on marriage
In a candid conversation with Curly Tales, Vijay Deverakonda shared his unfiltered thoughts on love and life after marriage. The actor, known for his honesty, admitted that he didn’t believe in the concept of ‘unconditional love’ as his love always came with expectations. He also shed light on the challenges that marriages could pose for women, depending on the profession one is involved with. Vijay further added:
“I know what it feels like to be loved, and I know what it is to love. I don’t know unconditional love because my love comes with expectations, so clearly my love isn’t unconditional. I feel everything is over-romanticised. I don’t even know if it’s okay to expect unconditional love. Marriage doesn’t have to come in between someone’s career. Marriage is harder on women. It also depends on the profession you are in.”
Vijay Deverakonda added he wants to become a father
Amid dating rumours with Rashmika Mandanna, Vijay Deverakonda opened up about his marriage plans. At a Tamil Nadu event, the actor said that he would want to get married one day and become a father. During the promotions of his upcoming film, Family Star with Mrunal Thakur, Vijay was asked if he was to get married any time soon, and he said:
“I also want to get married and become a father.”
