Voters in the Giridih assembly constituency cast their ballots on November 20, 2024, as part of the second phase of the Jharkhand Assembly elections. The constituency recorded a voter turnout of 67.45 percent.
The main contest in Giridih is between Sudivya Kumar of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Nirbhay Kumar Shahabadi of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

A total of 37 candidates, including several independents, are contesting for the seat.
In the 2019 Assembly elections, Sudivya Kumar won the Giridih seat with 80,871 votes, defeating Nirbhay Kumar Shahabadi, who received 64,987 votes.
The counting of votes for all 81 Assembly seats in Jharkhand, including Giridih, is taking place today, November 23, 2024.
