In her post, Joy said she and Wactor “cautiously approached the men, asking them what they were doing, at first thinking they were towing the car.”

“We were no threat and Johnny stayed calm like he always did, simply saying it was his car and to leave. With his hands open at his sides in peace,” Joy wrote. “Johnny was between me and the man who shot him; when I heard the shot in the night, he fell hard into my arms and as I grabbed him, I screamed, ‘Honey, are you okay?’ And he just said, ‘No! Shot!'”

Joy said her “only peace” in the situation was that Wactor was not alone when he died.

“My only other peace will be seeing these horrible men brought to justice,” he added.
