Want authentic Southern biscuits, but can’t find them in New England? A top-rated new restaurant in Providence may have the solution.

USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards just released its best of the year rankings for best new restaurants, and one recently opened biscuit pop-up in Rhode Island ranked among the best in the country.

The annual 10Best awards highlight the best in travel, food and lifestyle, and winners are chosen by a public voting poll after being nominated by industry experts. In the best of 2024 awards, ranking various new attractions opened in the past year across the United States, Irregardless Biscuit in Providence ranked seventh for best new restaurant.

Here’s what to know before visiting the state’s hottest new place to eat.

How to visit Irregardless Biscuit

First opened on Providence’s West Side in March 2024, Irregardless Biscuit offers Southern-style biscuits in every way possible – from straight up with butter, sausage gravy or hot honey to a signature sandwich with fried chicken, country ham or eggs and cheese.

The restaurant is open at 94 Carpenter St. in Providence on Friday-Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., or until biscuits run out.
