Varun’s honest and hilarious admissions of feeling terrified when his daughter cried deeply resonated with the audience, who empathised with him even as they burst out laughing. The actor further confessed that sometimes, when his daughter started crying late at night, and he was really tired, he would only pretend to wake up while hoping his wife would take care of her. Leaving the audience in splits, Varun revealed:

“Suddenly awaaz aati hai aur aap bohot thake hue ho — aur I’m sure most of the fathers aise hi honge sab — toh sab bohot thake hue hai aur wah wah awaaz aane lagti hai aur aap apne patni ko dekhte ho jo bohot thaki hui hai kyuki wo 24/7 bacchi ke sath hai. Aap acting karte ho utne ki, main ja raha hu, main ja raha hu, or wo chali jaati, I’ll say okay, okay, so jaata hu. Nahi, nahi, but fir chale hi jaate ho kyuki dil ghabra jaata hai.”

Varun’s revelations also struck a chord with host, Kapil Sharma, who reflected on his experience when fathering a newborn. Kapil confessed that the same thing happened to him as neither his wife nor his mother used to wake up at home. He had been used to sleeping whenever he wanted and waking up late. However, Kapil stated that once you have a baby, you don’t mind even if your sleep is disrupted.
