A24 has revealed a secret documentary about Elizabeth Holmes, directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, which premiered as a surprise screening at the Telluride Film Festival on September 6 . The studio simultaneously released a teaser trailer for the film, which is scheduled for a theatrical release in October 2026 .
Titled ‘You Can See Everything’, the documentary follows Holmes in the 34 days before she began her 11-year prison sentence for fraud in 2023 . According to an official synopsis from A24, what begins as an intimate portrait of the disgraced Theranos founder becomes a three-year journey that blurs the lines of reality .
Intense trailer and Fielder’s reflections
The teaser trailer features an intense exchange between Fielder and Holmes, with Holmes insisting, ‘I’m always being real’ . Fielder responds with skepticism, asking, ‘You’re being real right now?’ .
During a post-screening Q&A at the festival, Fielder said he remains uncertain about his own experience making the film. ‘I really am struggling to this day to understand exactly what I experienced,’ he told the audience .
The nearly three-hour film incorporates reenactments and elements that challenge traditional documentary conventions . Security at the Telluride premiere was notably tight, with attendees required to lock phones in pouches before the screening .
‘You Can See Everything’ is set for a theatrical release in October 2026, though an exact date has not been announced .
