Metallica will perform at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland on June 15, 2027, as part of a newly announced 12-date North American stadium run extending the band’s M72 World Tour into next year.
The announcement was made Wednesday morning, Sept. 16, 2026, by Live Nation. The Cleveland show marks the city’s first announced stadium concert of 2027 and will be Metallica’s first Cleveland performance since February 2019, when the band played Rocket Arena.
Full 2027 North American Tour Dates
The 2027 leg will begin May 8 at BC Place in Vancouver, the only Canadian date on the run. The tour will then travel through the American Southwest, Midwest and East Coast before concluding June 19 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.
The complete itinerary includes stops in San Diego, El Paso, San Antonio, Fayetteville, Kansas City, Raleigh, Indianapolis, Buffalo, Madison, Cleveland and Salt Lake City. Limp Bizkit and Avatar will serve as support acts on all dates.
Unlike previous M72 tour legs, which featured two-night ‘No Repeat Weekend’ engagements in each city, the 2027 shows are single-night performances. The concerts will continue the band’s signature in-the-round staging at the 50-yard line, with the circular Snake Pit at the center of the stadium floor.
Ticket Sales and Presales
Tickets for the newly announced shows will be available starting with Metallica’s Fan Club presales on Monday, Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. local time. Additional presales will run throughout the week, including Citi cardmember and Verizon Shine presales beginning Sept. 22.
Local presales for the Cleveland show will take place Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. General sales begin Friday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. local time. Further information on enhanced experiences and travel packages is available at Metallica’s official website.
M72 Tour History and Sphere Residency
The M72 World Tour launched in April 2023 in support of Metallica’s 2023 album ’72 Seasons.’ To date, the Live Nation-promoted tour has played 99 shows in 26 countries and drawn nearly five million attendees.
The 2027 North American dates will follow Metallica’s ‘Life Burns Faster’ residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, which runs from Oct. 1, 2026 through March 13, 2027. The 24-show residency marks the band’s first extended engagement at the venue.
Charitable Component
A portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will benefit local charities through Metallica’s All Within My Hands foundation. Established in 2017, the nonprofit supports workforce education and hunger relief programs. Metallica covers all administrative costs, allowing 100 percent of donations to go directly to supported organizations.
The foundation has provided grants totaling $19 million to career and technical education programs, according to the band’s announcement.
The general on-sale for all 2027 North American dates begins Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. local time.
